Prince George's County police say one ATV rider was fatally stabbed and another critically wounded when they were attacked while riding in a wooded area in the Clinton area.
It happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday near Brandywine and Surratts roads southeast of Surrattsville High School. The wounded rider was taken to a hospital, but police say the other died at the scene.
Police gave no motive for the attack and the all-terrain vehicles the victims had been riding were found nearby. Police say an officer responding to the incident was injured in a crash.
